Soap and psychotic ducks....

Well it's official....I have made my first batch of soap. The pride that is ooozing from my every fiber is semi-ridiculous. Now I just have to learn how to kayak and finish seeing the 7 wonders of the world and my life's to-do list is complete (unless I am really serious about learning dutch and french.)

I just needed to blog brag (hold the mocking please), I have a very healthy appreciation of soap made from nothing but organic coconut oil, palm oil, grass fed lard, and raw milk. I made enough to last us a year or so. EAT YOUR HEART OUT DOVE!! Kent thinks that this is great because we can barter with soap if money fails....(this is a total joke by the way!)

Now does anyone know what to do with soap flakes leftover? I'm at a loss.

We decided to enjoy the sunshine the other day and go feed these ducks that I didn't know existed until last week. After a short 5 minutes with the beasts, I believe my previous ignorance of their existance was preferable.....they're INSANE! We feed them, they chased us and the event ended with us throwing the bread in the opposite direction and then running for the car. We all left with a complex of the feathered creatures to boot! Damn, like I need one more thing to be scared of right?!

RUN BABY RUN!!!

SEE...they're nuts!

I'd love to have you teach me how to make the bar soap....because using it as one of the main ingredients, we can make liquid (or powdered) laundry soap! I make my own laundry soap -- and what to do with the flakes, you're supposed to be able to make liquid soap for your pump soap dispenser.

You crack me up Kristen. Seriously. I love reading your posts. I am sending a hearty congrats on the soap-making. Truly. I'll need to come up with something for us to barter with in case money fails... baby dolls? We have plenty of those.
Happy Mothers Day.
P.S. That picture of Bella running away from those geese is, well, priceless.

I made soap once, but it wasn't nearly that great. I'm impressed!
