Cabin

We went to the cabin for my mom's birthday this weekend. I had never played "Ticket to ride" until then, and now we are all addicted. We played no less then 10 times in the 48 hours we were there. It was awesome. My family and I always say, we are the "fun" in "dysFUNctional". Ain't it the truth guys. But heaven knows I love ya for it. You're the best.

Bella loved playing with her cousins. She put on her princess dress and twirled around while singing. When cousin Ian joined in the happy tune she quickly SHHHHHHHed him and said "Don't sing, just stare." I don't know about you but I am sensing a motto here.

Harry is so sick. Is there anything worse then sick kids?! Temperatute 103. We think it's just a virus and we think this because we have already taken him to the doctor twice - I am such a worrywart! It may turn into a serious ear infection, so we are watching it. As long as I can keep him hydrated, which is something a challenge at the moment, we will be OK. Kent had a ton of ear infections when he was a baby, hence he is really worried that this is the case with Harry. Time will tell.

Disney on Ice

"Doi, doi, doi, doi, doi, doi" Harry is making the greatest, funniest most unique sounds. I love it.
Boom boom ain't it great to be crazy!
Tonight as Bella said the prayer at dinner, she said, "...and I love Jesus. I can smell him."

Bella and I went to Disney Princesses. "Just the girl's". It was a ton of fun to spend time with my baby girl. We forgot the camera, so no pictures of the event but we took some before. Thanks mom!

A Mommy's Prayer

Harrison falling asleep in his high chair. He is teething so sleep is sparse right now. He just couldn't stay awake anymore, bless his heart.

Bella performed with her school in their Shakespeare production. Needless to say, after watching my darling girl sing Twinkle, Twinkle little star on the stage, I felt very....nostalgic. Don't grow too fast.

Oh the things they say....

Harrison was nursing and bit down really hard......caused some permanent damage. Not pretty, but this tid-bit of info is essential to understanding the following "please-let-me-put-my-head-in-the-sand" experience.

So we are sitting in Sacrament Meeting. This is apparently Bella's social hour. The Sacrament is being passed. It is stone quiet except for Bella is talking back and forth with her friend Kate. They are talking about friends and their dolls and asking for snacks. And then to the quiet of the room, Bella announces " My mommy has an Owweeee on her boob." I hear this and horrified at the volume of the announcement, I am trying, with Harry on my lap to maneuver myself over so I can clamp my hand over her mouth. By the time I get there she has said it three more times to her friend because apparently she didn't see me coming and Kate didn't understand the gravity of what Bella was saying. Three rows behind us and three rows in front of us are stifling laughter. I am not exaggerating, unfortunately.

What I am choosing to take away from this, besides sheer embarrassment, is that Bella is so kind and sweet and thoroughly concerned about my well-being. What a sweetheart.

First day of School

Bella was ready for some school interaction, so we decided to enroll her for the rest of the academic year. This is a huge step for me......I mean her.
Comtemplating the eternal things in life......or the crayon basket.....either way!

There was only one little girl, with pig-tails, that was taunting her, not really in a mean way, saying "New kid, new kid, new kid." I gave her a good stare. You can mess with me to your hearts content, don't mess with my kids.

She did great, ran right in and started coloring. She intially asked me to stay but then was fine without us. I hugged my little girl goodbye, and started crying. I held the tears back until I walked out the door. I didn't want Bella to be the girl with the "cry-baby mommy." Kent came with me though, and helped me through my tears. The best way I can describe that hug I gave her....let's see.....I tried with that hold to build up all the protection that the Great wall gave China, convey all the kindess of Mother Theresa (please let these kids be kind to her), all the peace of Ghandi (please let her be kind to the kids) and all the wisdom to choose the right that only the Spirit can give. Basically I called on all the Saints, in my faith, and in all other faiths, to watch over this angel girl, to protect her, to guide her, to comfort her. And after, I was like, "Huh.......so that's was prayer filling your soul feels like."

Daddy-Daughter date

Daddy-Daughter date

Bella's 1st Jazz game

Bella loves being with Kent. She totally has him wrapped around her finger, but I wouldn't have it any other way. They have their own little world full of tickle monsters, crazy conversations and wrestling. Thank heavens for daddys! We love you Daddy!

She actually curled up on Kent's lap and went to sleep in the 4th quarter, just as the crowd was going nuts over a major comeback. So sweet!

Bella got a haircut today. We did a cute A-line and with all the length cut off the front of her hair curled crazy. It is so cute. Daddy wanted to take some pictures of it. He was so hesitant to let her get it cut that short. But it turned out so cute and I think it will be low maintenance which is great!
