Sweetness and sass.....

Harrison has taken to vehicles like boats to water. Now when we go for walks he says " 'at's a cool car, at's a cool car." And for the most part they all could be defined as COOL CARS, including the Honda minivan I secretly covet (along with the Aston Martin we all covet....let's be honest). The boy has taste!
Bella is so very in charge in our house. Last night, Kent and I became emotionally involved in Extreme Makeover home edition (even though that show is ridiculously scripted.....they still help real great community oriented people...sniff sniff.) Anyway, Bella and Harry came downstairs, on all fours, (they also have shown an affinity toward acting likes puppies.....in hopes to convince us that we need one....like that's gonna work), barking and dressed in matching jammies. Bella had got herself and her brother ready for bed. This included a diaper change, a wardrobe change and washing the face. How sweet is my little girl!
Bella and I also enjoyed a fathers and sons campout, by going to a girls night! Bella now asks for that fingerpaintin' fun every night. We ate WAY TOOOO much candy at a friends house, painted nails, drew, talked and introduced our daughters to the hunkiness that WAS Marlon Brando in Guys and Dolls. I don't know that any prince charming has any chance with them (or us?) after that. He is (slashed out) was so handsome in 1955! Thanks Kiera!

ALOHA....

Me and my beautiful sis!

After church. Church in Hawaii is where it's at....the spirit was so strong among the saints there.

at our hotel... The other women are Terry and Ella. These women used to change my diapers and they still love me. They are some of the greatest people ever. Ella is so sweet and kind hearted. Terry....if you have a fan club....sign me up sista...you make me laugh and I admire you so much.

my mother and sister drooling of the Luau men.

I actually liked scuba diving....who knew. The giant sea turtles were the best.

This is the painful result of my first surfing experience and putting suncreen on everywhere EXCEPT the back of my legs. Lesson learned.

I think that I may have missed my calling in life. No joke. I can see how surfing is addicting. I could stay out there, float all day and catch one wave and feel fulfilled. It's a random thing.

My favorite part was probably the road to Hana....paradise....seriously. And just being with the women. Thank you mommy....Love you so much. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

Soap and psychotic ducks....

Well it's official....I have made my first batch of soap. The pride that is ooozing from my every fiber is semi-ridiculous. Now I just have to learn how to kayak and finish seeing the 7 wonders of the world and my life's to-do list is complete (unless I am really serious about learning dutch and french.)

I just needed to blog brag (hold the mocking please), I have a very healthy appreciation of soap made from nothing but organic coconut oil, palm oil, grass fed lard, and raw milk. I made enough to last us a year or so. EAT YOUR HEART OUT DOVE!! Kent thinks that this is great because we can barter with soap if money fails....(this is a total joke by the way!)

Now does anyone know what to do with soap flakes leftover? I'm at a loss.

We decided to enjoy the sunshine the other day and go feed these ducks that I didn't know existed until last week. After a short 5 minutes with the beasts, I believe my previous ignorance of their existance was preferable.....they're INSANE! We feed them, they chased us and the event ended with us throwing the bread in the opposite direction and then running for the car. We all left with a complex of the feathered creatures to boot! Damn, like I need one more thing to be scared of right?!

RUN BABY RUN!!!

SEE...they're nuts!

Seepy, seepy....

My baby has officially been sleeping through the night (knock on very hard wood). It's a beautiful thing. He has even been taking killer four hour naps. Who knew that 2 was the magic number?

The kidlets spent the last 6 days with solo daddy time so that mommy could leave the nest to venture into the unknown aka MAUI.....yes, you read right, MAUI with my family. It was so much fun and the kids loved, loved, loved daddy time. Hawaii pictures coming.
