Motherhood in all its glory...

I hope there are mothers out there who can identify with days like this. Days I affectionately refer to as "What in tarnation?" days (and yes, that is the edited title).

It began with a small walk around the block, beautiful day, happy kids etc. It ended with Harrison having a bowel movement on the floor and before I could get there he shoved some in his mouth. He spit it out of course but oh my gosh?!

While I am cleaning him up in the bathroom, Bella takes it upon herself to try to stick a barbie in her birthday cake that we spent all afternoon trying to make.

Sandwich this with Bella locking Harry inside the bedroom door, which we don't have a key too and him screaming and knocking on the door to be let out while I try to break in through the window, which for the record, isn't a graceful sight.

Motherhood is a beautiful thing, I kept reminding myself as I was scrubbing the floor. Anyway, I could laugh or cry. I personally thought it was pretty hilarious.

Yesss... That scene is all too familiar. Sometimes I cry, then laugh later on when I'm telling Jason. Sometimes I just keep taking deep breaths while McKinley asks "Mom, are you frustrated?" At any rate, thank goodness it's all worth it at the end of the day - and you'll have this to share with them when they're older :)

I love that picture of Bella sleeping! I can relate to the joy and agony of motherhood! :)

Sometimes the best thing is just knowing that the day is over and it can't happen again (at least not in exactly the same way)! We all have some of those days, but yours still sounds like a doozy.

What a day! I'm glad you could laugh about it. My days are quite so chaotic yet, but I'm sure those days will come.
